CALL CENTER

The Call Center began in February of 2007. Initially, the small staff of three started out scheduling intake appointments for each of the counties KRCC serves. These intake appointments introduced KRCC to open access scheduling. Open access allows for clients to be seen in the county of their choice at their convenience. Shortly thereafter, the Call center expanded its duties to include scheduling special assessments, DUI assessments, and psychological evaluations.

Within the first six months, the Call center changed from the standard 8am- 4:30pm to 8am-7:30pm, Monday through Friday. This was to accommodate the addition of the Crisis Line to the office during those hours. The crisis line alone accounts for anywhere from 700 to 1000 calls each month. The Call Center staff receives 80% or more of those calls.
