New Directions
New Directions is an intensive treatment program for men offering an alternative to residential treatment and a more intensive level of care than traditional outpatient programs.
Our Services
Participants typically attend the program for a period of five months with the level of care decreasing as progress is made. Advancement in the program is based on individual effort and achievement of goals.
The program offers four phases: Motivational Track, Action Track, Maintenance Track, and Aftercare, with each phase geared toward building upon previously acquired skills and development of additional competencies.
Our services offer a multidimensional approach to treatment, addressing a variety of client issues on an individualized basis. We utilize a treatment team that consists of clinicians, peer support specialists, case managers, and community support associates (CSAs) who meet on a weekly basis to discuss our clients’ individual needs. Each client is responsible for his own recovery, but is also part of a recovering community. Key goals of the program are to achieve abstinence, foster behavioral changes, facilitate active participation in community-based support systems, identify & address psychosocial problems, develop a positive support network, and improve problem-solving skills & coping strategies.
